Surgery/Outpatient Services

If you're considering outpatient surgery or outpatient treatments, the SMH Surgery and Outpatient Department offers outpatient surgical services and outpatient treatments in a compassionate, patient-centered environment. The surgical and outpatient service departments have qualified and experienced anesthesia providers along with experienced nursing staff that provide Pre-op, Intra-op, and Post-op Anesthesia Care.

Surgical and Outpatient Service department appointments are arranged by your surgeon's office after an evaluation has been performed. Limited general surgery, urology, and podiatry procedures are accommodated.

Surgical procedures include:

- General Surgery:
- EGD and Colonoscopies

Podiatry:

- Tendon repairs, tunnel release, Morton’s neuroma decompression, hammertoe repair, bunions, planter warts, various osteotomy, amputations, plantar fascia release, excision of Morton’s neuroma, tarsal tunnel release, calcaneal osteotomy, diabetic wound debridement and many others

Urology

- Biopsy of prostate, photo vaporization of prostate, transurethral resections of prostate and/or bladder tumor, cystoscopy, bladder biopsy, cystocele, circumcision, kidney stone treatment, renal stent placement

Outpatient Treatments

- Courteous, qualified staff to schedule your appointment and deliver treatments
- Shorter wait times for treatments
- Accepts referral from out-of-town physicians

Treatments include:

- Intravenous Infusions
- Medication Injections
- Wound Care
- Port access and blood draws
- Maintenance of ports and central lines
- IV placement for Exams
- Urinary Catheter Changes
- Suprapubic Catheter Changes
