The Emergency Department at Salem Memorial Hospital is available around the clock—24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Our team of highly skilled medical professionals is always ready to provide care when you need it most.

We treat a broad range of medical emergencies, from minor injuries like sprained ankles and cuts requiring stitches to serious, life-threatening conditions, such as heart attacks and strokes. Our physicians are certified in Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS), while our experienced nursing staff is trained in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and emergency care for both adults and children.

When every second counts, our Emergency Department team is specially trained to recognize and respond swiftly to time-sensitive conditions such as heart attacks and strokes. Rapid intervention is critical—and our staff is prepared to act immediately to provide the life-saving care you need, when you need it most.
